And now with no further ado... This is Ofelia de Owl.
I haven't done an amigurumi for awhile and I just love converting a ball of yarn into a lovely little friend... and making it into a pincushion seemed like a great idea. And I found this great pattern on Ravelry that seemed perfect for the project.
Oh she is the sweetest little companion in my sewing space...and I will be sad to see her fly away but I have promised her to friend who said she was lovely even when she was still in early construction!
Here she is again flying in my lovely flowers...

Very cute! Love the name you gave her too. THX for sharing with us today.
ReplyDeleteOfelia is adorable. I wish I could crochet. My mother taught me how to make one kind of granny square. I never learned to read a pattern. I have no idea if I'm supposed to go through the back loop, both loops, or what, so I've just given up. Now, when it comes to knitting, I have a much a better idea. So, I'm always in awe of those that can crochet and especially something as special as a pin cushion. She is wonderful. I looked at some of your other visible posts and saw the knitted preemie hats. I have knitted some preemie hats. Actually, I'm visiting my daughter to help her with her two boys while her father-in-law is recuperating from surgery - he is the usual sitter. Both of her sons were preemies. I really enjoying making them especially for the NICU where they spent many of their days and months. They are now 2 and 7 and show absolutely no signs of having been preemies. Thank you for including the pattern for those hats, too. Thanks for participating in the blog hop and being a great inspiration. I hope to see you in more hops very soon. Great job!
ReplyDeleteAnother adorable owl! Thanks for sharing!
